Everything You Know Is A Lie - Dark Heresy and more Warcraft Roleplay

Hail, Children of Technology!

Tis I, Redbranch, Here to bring you more deeds of violence from the land of the young this week!

This week has been a busy one indeed, with Necromunda starting to get a following in my gaming club and many new ideas floating round for future projects. Also notice the new background? more on that after ive dealt with this weeks RPG session. So, lets start with the exploits of Artemis and the gang in the World of Warcraft this week.

We started in Dustwallow Marsh, where the last game left off. It was night time and the others were asleep so i was called upon for guard duty, seeing as i am dead and dont need sleep, Typical. Anyway, i reluctantly took up a post on the walls and waited til morning. By this time it had come to the groups attention that Huron Blackhoof, the Sunwalker, had left during the night to get a head start on us, and was joined by another Tauren that hadn't been introduced to the party yet. When the sun had come up, we headed to the windriders and got a one way ticket to Garroshville with a message for a Orc known as the Warbound Rurghk. The Flying part was easy and took approximatly 2 hours from take off to landing but i was ignored by the Peons on landing as they would not help me down from astride my wyvern, Damn lazy peons! Me, Na'shalla, Threebraids and Mogrosh headed for the elevator to go down into the Valley of Strength and just as things were going good, Crunch. The gears of the elevator grind to a halt half way down and we are stuck. Na'shalla uses her bird form to go and investigate and flies up and out to go check out underneath us while Mogrosh, using his claws, manages to climb out, while me and Threebraids bravely stayed put in the elevator. From below, the scene was a simular sight as a crowd grew to see what was wrong with the elevator and above a group of Peons argued about what length rope would be right for the job. Suddenly the lift jutters and falls a few feet, knocking both me and Threebraids to the ground. Mogrosh and Na'shalla lowered down a rope and Threebraids went first, scaling the rope swiftly and then if followed just in time, as the lift fell from under me. We decided that it was best to walk down from here and after talking to a guard found out that Rurghk would be in the Warchief's hall in the centre of the Valley of Strength. As we approached the enterance, a burly orc stood forward and told us that we could not pass without good reason. Stupidly, Mogrosh decided it was a good idea to insult this orc and after a few punches were thrown, the fight was broken up by non other than our old friend Lok'hir. He told us that we would have a few hours before we could see Rurghk and that we would have to wait to see him, so we proceeded to the auction house where Lok'hir had told us there was an item of interest that would been sold very soon. After investigating we saw that it was a sword, one that had come from Northrend and had special powers. After casting a spell of detect magic, i found out that it contained dark and powerful magic that have very destructive capabilities. The bidding started at 15 gold and after a bidding war with another Forsaken, i managed to get the sword for 80 gold. I have a feeling that this sword is important to a particular dead man that we have met before. Threebraids came out of the auction house with a few new items, namely a twin ring and necklace set that had the power to heal and to do damage. The game was called soon after this point as we were all hungry and needed a good trip to the kebab shop.

A decision was made by me on wednesday as i ate my chicken burger in the kebab shop that i would run a Dark Heresy campaign this sunday. I will still be working on my Necromunda style game but having that itch scratched by actually playing the loveable little skirmish game has made me think that i should run a more traditional Dark Heresy game. So, with some money i have left over from Yuletime i have set about getting The Inquisitor's Handbook and the GM guide in preperation for the game. I also plan to get the Creatures Anathema, Book of Judgement and Blood of Martyrs books in the near future. Thank you Kasey and Thank you ebay! The game will be played by three players to start but i will see if there are others that wish to play in the near future when i have set up my NPCs and locations propperly. The three people have seemed to be set on their character classes since i said to them about it. Alun (the GM of the Warcraft adventures we are currently taking part in) shall be an Assassin, with a goal to reach membership of the Vindicare temple i would guess. Dale, (who plays Mogrosh in WoW) shall be playing a Guardsman, of which legion he is conscripted from hasn't been decided yet but i would guess at one of the more established legions or one of his own creation. And last but very much not the least, Kasey (Na'shalla in WoW) shall be playing an Adepta Sororitas battle sister, after a long descussion of the classes and imperial faith she seemed to like the idea of being a space nun the best.

Right, thats it for today. Im off now to go watch a film, maybe Sucker Punch. But until next time, May your blades be enriched with Deeds of Violence!
